Serviced Apartment Rental: What Does It Mean?

Serviced apartment rental is becoming an increasingly popular way for people to live in their own homes. Instead of paying a large sum of money up front to own a home, they are able to rent it out under a long-term rental arrangement. They do not have to put down a large deposit as with a traditional rental agreement. This is a convenient and cost-effective method for people who do not want the responsibility of owning a home or do not have the money to pay for a mortgage. However, a serviced apartment can come with its own set of disadvantages.

In a serviced apartment, the landlord pays an entry fee that must be paid on a weekly basis. The fee is usually about twenty dollars per week. This will cover all of the services provided by the property management company, such as cleaning, lawn care and maintenance and emergency repairs. The tenant is responsible for all other cleaning chores and maintenance tasks.

Tenants living in a serviced apartment will have to share the common areas and kitchen facilities with other tenants. It is possible that some properties may have rules about who may enter which areas and how many guests they may allow at any one time. Because the property is managed by the management company, they will have all of the knowledge of these rules.

It is also important to understand that any repairs to the property must be done by the property management company. All deposits and payments for utilities are handled by them. Tenants are not allowed to perform any repairs on the property themselves. If they wish to change something that does not meet the expected conditions, they must ask permission first. Sometimes a property owner will refuse to allow something that the tenant wants to do because they believe that it may affect the value of the rental agreement.

When living in a serviced apartment rental, it is possible that the cost of everything will be less than if you were to find your own home. Since the renter has no expenses and no lease to keep, the monthly expense is reduced. Rent prices and different sizes of apartments may differ from city to city.

Some serviced apartments offer extra services that may be needed by the renter. These services could include maid services or housekeeping. A few serviced apartment rental companies rent babysitting and pet sitting services as well. Most of these extra services are not available with all of the rental agreements, but most of them do offer these extras.

A number of serviced apartment rental companies provide websites where a potential renter can view all of the available apartments. The renter can then contact the company and set up an appointment to view the property. It is not uncommon for the companies to make showings at times when there are not scheduled rentals. When renting from a serviced apartment rental, the renter will also be provided with a key. This ensures that the apartment will always be fully occupied.

While the cost of a serviced apartment rental might seem high, it can be less expensive than a hotel. The rental fees cover many of the same things that would be expected in a hotel, like cleanliness of the location, entertainment in the form of movies or shows, and maids to clean and laundry to do. The renter is under no obligation to stay in the unit, and the company may have other options for the renter such as meeting on a certain day of the week instead of a specific date. In addition, the renter does not have to return to the same location each day. They can choose to explore the area on their own, perhaps eat at a restaurant for lunch, or just pop down to the closest store to buy some items that they need.
