While many of these players may be known around the world by die-hard fans and commentators, these seven men are in an entirely different class of their own and deserve special recognition for their achievements on the field. #1 Pelé
Born in Brazil in 1940, Pelé is widely considered to be the greatest soccer player of all time. He was a member of three World Cup-winning teams and is the only player to have scored over 1,000 goals in his career. Pelé was known for his speed, skill, and power, and was able to score from anywhere on the field. He retired in 1977 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1992.
#2 Maradona
Ronaldinho is widely considered to be one of the best soccer players of all time. He was a part of the 2002 World Cup-winning Brazilian team and was named FIFA World Player of the Year in 2004 and 2005. His career began at Gremio, where he won the Copa Libertadores in 1995 before he moved to Europe to play for Barcelona. At Barcelona, Ronaldinho won the La Liga title in 2005 and 2006, as well as the Champions League in 2006. He then had a successful spell at Milan, winning the Serie A title in 2011. Ronaldinho retired from soccer in 2018 after a short stint with Fluminense.

Ronaldinho, born in 1980, is a Brazilian retired professional soccer player. He played as an attacking midfielder or forward and was one of the best players of his generation. Described by pundits as a genius with the ball at his feet, Ronaldinho’s tricks, flicks, and overhead kicks wowed crowds around the world. 4. Ronaldo-Arguably the most famous soccer player in the world, Ronaldo was born in Portugal and began his professional career with Sporting CP, before signing with Manchester United in 2003. At just 18 years old, he helped lead the team to their first league title in 18 years. He then moved to Real Madrid in 2009, where he’s won four Champions League titles and two La Liga titles. He’s also the all-time leading goal scorer for Portugal and was named FIFA World Player of the Year in 2008 and 2013.

He was born in 1926 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Growing up, he played for several local teams before joining River Plate in 1945. He was a member of the Argentine national team that won the first-ever World Cup in 1930. After a successful career in South America, he moved to Spain to play for Real Madrid, where he helped the team win five European Cups. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest soccer players of all time.
#6 Di Stéfano
Garrincha is widely considered one of the greatest dribblers of all time and was even called the Joy of the People. He was a member of Brazil’s 1958 and 1962 World Cup winning teams. Garrincha is one of only two players to be named to the World Cup All-Star Team for two different tournaments. He is also the only player to win the Golden Ball at a World Cup (1962) while playing on a losing team.
